Data on languages in our state are now available in the data series tables, “Detailed Languages Spoken at Home and Ability to Speak English for the Population 5 Years and Over: 2009-2013.”

The Census Bureau released data on language spoken at home based on the 2009-2013 ACS 5-year dataset. It contains data for Hawaii areas – statewide; the counties of Honolulu, Hawaii and Maui; the metropolitan areas of Urban Honolulu and Kahului-Wailuku-Lahaina; and the micropolitan area of Hilo.
